Billionaire Anand Mahindra has found his mid-week inspiration in this 63-year-old librarian from Kerala.

Sharing a two-and-a-half-minute-long video by The Better India, the Mahindra Group Chairman gave a standing ovation to this inspiring woman. Radhamani walks six kilometres daily to deliver books to remote villages.

Terming Radhamani as one of the many reasons why Kerala is the most literate state in the country, the 67-year-old applauded her initiative and contribution.

"This is inspiring beyond words ... The dedication to reading stands out in today’s device-dominated world," his tweet read.

Mahindra's post was retweeted more than 200 times and was liked by more than 2,200 people.

According to The Better India's video, Radhamani has travelled kilometres every day to ensure her 'walking library' benefits women, children and the elderly in villages who don't have any access to books.

The Wayanad resident's efforts for the last 10 years helped Pratibha Public Library's wide collection of books find the readers they deserve.

The Mothakkara village librarian, who had been an avid reader since childhood, carried a heavy bag full of books in hand to these remote locations so everyone can enjoy reading from the comfort of their homes.

The Better India report said that Radhamani delivers almost 500 books every month at a reasonable rate of Rs 5. Every time she hands over a book, she marks the entry in her register.

Mahindra often shares inspirational stories, innovative tech videos and funny tweets from whatever he comes across during the day with his 9.5 million followers.
