    Sikkim CM P S Tamang contesting from two seats, including old bastion Soreng-Chakung

    Sikkim Chief Minister and SKM supremo Prem Singh Tamang is contesting from Soreng-Chakung and Rhenock assembly seats in the upcoming elections instead of Poklok-Kamrang. He is banking on his government's welfare measures to win, facing a multi-cornered contest. The elections for the Sikkim Assembly and Lok Sabha seat will take place on April 19.

    Sikkim CM among 16 candidates to file nomination papers for assembly polls

    Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Singh Tamang and 15 other candidates filed nomination papers for the upcoming assembly elections. Tamang and his son filed for the Soreng-Chakung constituency under the SKM party. Various other candidates, including CAP and SDF nominees, also submitted their papers. Sikkim will vote on April 19.

    Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang will contest from two assembly constituencies in the upcoming polls, while his wife Krishna Kumari Rai will face opposition SDF president Pawan Kumar Chamling in the Namchi-Singhithang seat. The ruling Sikkim Krantikari Morcha released its candidate list for all 32 assembly seats and the lone Lok Sabha constituency in the Himalayan state.
