Asia Opportunities Fund and General Atlantic likely sold a 5.2% stake at a floor price of Rs 773, an 8% discount from the previous close of Rs 840.

The average of revised price targets given by the six brokerages and research firms such as Nuvama, Phillip Capital, IIFL, CLSA, Motilal Oswal Financial Services and Investec, is Rs 536, indicating a 19% upside over Vedanta's closing price of Rs 450.

Residential real estate in top Indian cities saw a 10% average price increase YoY in the Jan-Mar quarter, driven by strong demand. Warburg Pincus will acquire the stake through its affiliate Mango Crest Investment from all the sellers. Shriram Finance (SFL) holds a controlling stake in SHFL while private equity firm Valiant Partners L.P. (Valiant), Mauritius, holds the remaining ownership. As a part of this transaction, Valiant will also completely divest its equity stake to Warburg Pincus, the company filing said.
