Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the country's longest railway tunnel on the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link. The 12.77-km-long tunnel, known as T-50, is part of the Banihal-Khari-Sumber-Sangaldan section, allowing trains to run from Baramulla to Sangaldan. According to a senior official from Integral Coach Factory (ICF), these specialized Vande Bharat coaches will include internal heating facilities and measures to prevent freezing in water lines. Additionally, the trains will be equipped with special pipes to prevent freezing.
