Bomb threats: 5 disposal squads for over 4K schools, Delhi Police tell HC
The Delhi Police informed the Delhi High Court that they have five bomb disposal squads (BDS) and 18 bomb detection teams to cover over 4,600 schools in the city. The police issued guidelines last year to address bomb threats to schools and appointed nodal officers for deploying BDS in such situations. Additionally, they conducted 120 mock drills in schools between January 2023 and May 2024.
