TMC lodges complaint with EC against West Bengal Guv CV Ananda Bose

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has filed a complaint with the Election Commission against West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose, alleging that he used his office to canvass for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by wearing their party symbol at an event in Kolkata. The TMC alleged that Bose's conduct was undemocratic, violating constitutional values and impairing free and fair elections in the state. The TMC pointed out that the Election Commission of India has taken action against governors who have used their offices for canvassing for political parties, such as former Governor of Himachal Pradesh Gulsher Ahmad in 1993 and then Governor of Rajasthan Kalyan Singh in 2019.
