More than 85,000 candidates have been allotted seats in under-graduate courses in Delhi University (DU) colleges in the first round of seat allocation under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS)- UG-2023. Officials said that out of 2,02,416 eligible candidates considered for seat allocation, 7,042 candidates got their first preference.

Delhi University has advised candidates to select multiple preferences for courses and colleges. It will release a simulated list on July 29, giving students an opportunity to re-order their preferences. The first round of allocation is set to begin on August 1, with a possibility of adding more rounds depending on vacant seats. The academic session is scheduled to commence on August 16.

Chandramani Dev, president of student organisation CYSS, said that the students can send complaints regarding admission related problems through WhatsApp, and also raise them over telephone. Several phone numbers have been published on which admission related issues and problems can be discussed.
