    In a recorded video address that was played at the inaugural session of the three-day Indian Defence Space Symposium in Delhi on Thursday, General Chauhan also said that "space diplomacy" will soon become a reality. Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) Chairman Samir V Kamat and other senior officers of the armed forces attended the event held at the Manekshaw Centre.

    In late-2025, three of four IAF pilots, Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair, Angad Pratap, Ajit Krishnan, and Shubhanshu Shukla, will be launched into LEO aboard an LVM3 rocket. India's first crewed orbital spaceflight will make India the fourth nation after Russia, the US, and China. Isro has established a ground station for Gaganyaan's flight. Multiple unmanned Gaganyaan missions are scheduled.
