    Megha Engineering emerges lowest bidder for Rs 12,800 cr nuclear power project

    Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd has been the lowest bidder for a Rs 12,800 crore engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract from the state-owned Nuclear Power Corporation of India. The company, which is the second-biggest buyer of electoral bonds and faces corruption allegations, submitted the lowest bid of Rs 12,799.92 crore.

      MEIL bags order worth $648 million for oil refinery in Mongolia

      Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL) has secured a $648 million work order in Mongolia from Mongol Refinery State Owned LLC. The agreement was signed between the two companies at Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia. As part of the contract, MEIL will build a diesel hydrotreater unit, hydrocracker unit, and various other units of Mongolia’s first oil refinery.

      MEIL to build Mongolia's first greenfield oil refinery

      Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL), which has secured an order from ONGC Limited to supply 47 oil and gas rigs, expects commissioning of 15 of them by May end, a senior official of the infra major said on Tuesday. K Satyanarayana, Technical Head, Rigs Project, MEIL, said most of the 15 rigs have reached the respective locations and commissioning will be expedited soon.

      Drillmec has so far delivered close to 600 drilling rigs and developed many innovative designs and acquired patents globally.       The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) had called for bidding of projects for 65 GAs across India, and MEIL has bagged a quarter of them. The infrastructure firm is already implementing the city gas distribution projects in Tumakuru and Belagavi in Karnataka.

      "In response, MEIL had bid for 43 GAs. MEIL has emerged as the successful bidder for the highest number of geographical areas (GA) across India winning bids for 15 geographical areas," the company said. The states where the projects are to be executed are Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh, MEIL said.

      The delivery is a part of the Rs 6,000 crore order Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL) had won from ONGC for the supply of 47 rigs. MIEL is the first private company in India to manufacture oil and gas extraction rigs with indigenous technology, a company statement said.
