The earthquake was felt in the Kathmandu Valley and neighbouring districts at 3:07 pm on Wednesday. The epicentre of the quake was on the Nepal-China border in Sindhupalchowk district, 125-km east of Kathmandu, according to the National Seismological Research Centre. There was no immediate report of any damage or casualties.

A 3.5 earthquake had hit Assam's Sonitpur and some other parts on May 5. On May 3, there was a 3.7 one in Tezpur, which had also been jolted on May 1 by a 3.3 quake.

Minor quake strikes Bihar, no damage reported

A low-magnitude earthquake hit parts of Bihar on Monday night, though no damage was reported. According to the National Centre for Seismology, the tremors measured 3.5 on the Richter scale and were felt around 9.23 pm.

3.5 magnitude earthquake hits Punjab's Bathinda

According to the NCS, the quake took place at 6:48 am, 100 kilometers south-west of Bathinda at a depth of 24 kilometeres.

An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter Scale hit Leh region of Ladakh in the wee hours of Tuesday. The tremor occurred at 5:13 am at a depth of 10 kilometres, reported the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).

Gujarat: 4.1 magnitude quake recorded in Rajkot, no casualties
