Join us for Mindhouse’s Circle on Opening up about Mental Health with your family on 22nd June Register here: https://lnkd.in/gqjxKtSQ Our families shape so much of how we react to emotional ups and downs but in India, speaking about our Mental Health with our families is still not very common - an issue that’s come up in several of our previous Circles. A strong and supportive family environment can do wonders for our Mental Health, but due to a lack of exposure to mental health discourse as well as social stigma/stereotypes around mental health, we often struggle with being vocal about issues with our family. If you have struggled with mental health in the context of discussing it with your family, join us for our upcoming Circle on Mental Health Conversations With Family on 22 June 2024, Saturday, at Museo, Gurugram, or share it with a friend/family member who might need a safe space to share. The Unspoken Struggles: Mental Health and Our Families in India Families can be amazing sources of love and support, but they can also be a place where some things go unsaid. In India, talking about mental health with our families often falls into that category. We all know how much our upbringing shapes how we handle life's ups and downs. But stigma and a lack of open conversations about mental health can leave us feeling alone and without a safe space to share our struggles. Here's the thing: bottling things up isn't healthy! A supportive family environment can be a powerful tool for managing our mental well-being. But how do we bridge that gap and start those important conversations? If you have struggled/are struggling with mental health in the context of discussing it with your family, join us on 22nd June at Museo Camera, Centre for The Photographic Arts to share your struggles in a safe, judgment-free space with others going through the same experience. Register here: https://lnkd.in/gdz5gjYf and share with a friend/family member who might want to attend. What are mental health circles? Circles are small-group, private gatherings to share mental health struggles, connect with others, and learn from shared experiences. Learn more about Circles at https://lnkd.in/gUCNHQZ2
