The play A Kind Of True Story, directed by Kalyani Hiwale, was staged at Bharat Bhavan this weekend. The story of youngsters struggling to get work in Mumbai, the play was presented by a repertoire from tinsel town.
The story was narrated from the point of view of Sameer Sheikh, a struggling writer who writes small narratives on eight different characters like a writer, an actor, a singer and a teacher and showcases each of their struggle periods.
The play had seven songs, starting with Chidiya Udi Furr Furr and concluding with Do Kadam Ke Faasle Aur Raaste Badal Gaye. The cast included Manish, Ankur Ratan, Avneesh, Bhushan Vikas, Asif Ali Beg and others while the music was given by Aadya Verma, the script was written by Balaji Gauri and Rahul Bagga.
