CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Government MRB Nurses Empowerment Association has announced a mass protest at Medical and Rural Health Services (DMS) campus on Anna Salai on Wednesday, to put forth demands that remain unfulfilled to the chief minister.
The demands include making temporary nurses, recruited through Medical Services Recruitment Board (MRB), permanent, and reinstatement of 2,500 nurses who were suspended after their dedicated service during the pandemic.
They want regulated working hours for nurses deployed at primary health care centres. The association said they were promised a solution when they protested at DMS campus last year, but no action was taken.
