The Portugal Consul Paulo Neves Pocinho invited the who’s who of Goa to welcome Portugal minister of foreign affairs, Luis Amado, on Tuesday evening.
The Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry was represented by president Nitin Kunkolienker, vice-presidents Manguirish Raikar and Cesar Menezes, Air Commodore PK Pinto (AVSM) retd. Dattaraj Salgaocar chatted with the visiting minister.
Rudolf Kammermeier and wife Yolanda and historian Percival Noronha were seen discussing art. Librarian Maria de Lourdes Bravo Da Costa Rodrigues was talking to friends about a book from the 15th century. Speaker Pratapsingh Rane, Dr Wilfred D’Souza and former minister Luizinho Faleiro shared a light moment. One could easily tell that the trio were not discussing politics, despite it being a day of a major political upheaval.
Then there was Mario Miranda with wife Habiba enjoying every moment. Portuguese wine and hors deurs flowed all through the evening, but guests feasted on Muscatel wine, which was the attraction of the evening.
