Engg student dies as car flips after hitting median on ORR
Hyderabad: Days after Secunderabad Cantonment MLA G Lasya Nanditha was killed in a horrific crash near Sultanpur on Outer Ring Road, another accident took place near the same spot at Kistareddypet on Wednesday, claiming the life of an engineering student. Three others travelling in the car suffered injuries.
The car went out of control, hit the median, almost uprooted the central lighting pole and flipped in the air before landing on the opposite stretch.
The deceased has been identified as Kotha Sweshik Reddy, 20. His friends — Varshith Reddy and Arshith Reddy — and Arshith’s brother Charvik Reddy, 10, received injuries. Arshith was at the wheel. Charvik studies in a private school at Medak’s Sadasivpet and his parents asked his elder brother Arshith to drop him off at his school in their car.
Both brothers set out along with Sweshik and Varshith and when they were about to reach Kistareddypet, the car met with the accident, killing Sweshik on the spot.
Patancheru sub-inspector P Venkat Reddy said a case was registered against Arshith. The injured persons were admitted to a hospital where they are recovering, he said. The three friends belong to Mallampet village near Medchal.
