2 men held for gangrape of homemaker

MUMBAI: Pant Nagar police arrested two men for the alleged gangrape of a 23-year-old homemaker in Ghatkopar (East)on December 9.
The case was also registered against the homemaers’s 25-year-old husband who reportedly ‘arranged’ for the offence to take place, after his two friends promised to pay him Rs5,000 each which he required to clear the house rent, said the police.The homemaker left for Sangli where she filed a complaint with the Sangli police against her husband and his two friends.
The case was transferred to their counterparts in Pant Nagar based on which the two accused has been arrested. “We have called the homemaker to record her statement following which her husband will be arrested,” said a police officer of the Pant Nagar police station.
