And to make the paathshala experience more authentic, everyone came dressed up in their school uniforms, attended the morning assembly, reliving their school days with lunch breaks and punishment, just the way they used to do as kids in their school days.
“This was our chance to experience the fun days once again. I was a naughty student and used to make bahanas whenever teacher asked for my homework,” recalled Ajit Bhatia, a businessman in Raipur. Reunions are something that people can’t afford to miss, which was evident when the alumni were spotted on a chatty mode and excitedly hugged their friends.
“Meeting your friends is one of the best feelings. We wrote messages on our friends’ shirts. I will always preserve my shirt on which my buddies have left their well wishes,” said Ashish Jain, an entrepreneur. While Avinash Sundrani did not mind getting punished in front of his batch mates as he happily shared his experience “I am happy to get punishment and kneel down in front of my class. It is realy funny and I am enjoying every bit of it,” he said.
Principal of the school, father Paul D’Souza, shared his proud moment of the day, “It feels great to see how some of the naughtiest of my students have become successful entrepreneurs in their life. I am proud to see my students here. It is a moment of joy for me,” he said.
