Majlish, a cultural association in Ranchi, celebrated Mahalaya as Sarad Arghya at MECON community hall in Shyamali.
Majlish, a cultural association in Ranchi, celebrated Mahalaya as Sarad Arghya at MECON community hall in Shyamali. The members celebrated the beginning of Navratri by singing traditional Durga Puja songs like Jaya Jaya Japa Japa.
However, it was an enticing performance on Mahishasur Mardini, by child artistes, directed by Kajal Bose from Asansol, which drew a huge applause from the audience.Later, Majlish also staged a play titled Babuder Dalkukure, a satire on the prevailing political scenario in the country and how it is affecting the households of netas.
The play, directed by thespian Nimu Bhowmik from Kolkata, had everyone in splits with its twists and excellent performance by the actors.
