Mahalakshmi Layout Constituency Election Results: Assembly seat details, MLAs, candidates & more
Mahalakshmi Layout assembly constituency is one of the 224 constituencies in the Karnataka legislative assembly of the southern state of India. It is a part of Bengaluru Urban district and comes under the Bengaluru North parliamentary constituency.
In 2023, Mahalakshmi Layout will witness a contest between K C. Rajanna from JD(S) vs Keshava Murthy from INC vs K.Gopalaiah from BJP.
The winning party must have 113 seats to form the government in the state out of 224 seats.
In 2019, K. Gopalaiah of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the seat by defeating M. Shivaraju of the Indian National Congress with a margin of 54,386 votes.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate D.v. Sadananda Gowda had won from Bangalore North Lok Sabha (MP) Seat with the margin of 1,47,518 votes by defeating Krishna Byregowda of the Indian National Congress.
In 2013, Mahalakshmi Layout legislative assembly constituency had a total 2,45,583 electors.
The total number of valid vote was 1,47,849.
Janata Dal (secular) candidate Gopalaiah K won and became MLA from this seat after securing a total of 66,127 votes.

Indian National Congress candidate N L Narendrababu stood second with total 50,757 votes.
The constituency was formed in the year 2008, carved out of portions of Rajajinagar, Yelahanka and the erstwhile Uttarahalli assembly constituencies.
The constituency is predominantly urban in nature with a mix of old residential areas, industrial areas and slums.
