Ritesh Sidhwani's mother Leelu Sidhwani passed away on Friday night. She was admitted to Hinduja hospital and celebs like Javed Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar with Shibani Dandekar, Malaika Arora, Amrita Arora visited the hospital to pay their last respects.
According to a statement, issued by the family, the funeral was supposed to take place today at Santacrux Crematorium, after a prayer meet at their residence.
The statement read, "We are deeply saddened to announce the passing away of Mrs. Leelu Sidhwani on May 17 2024. Prayers will be held on May 18, 2024 at Quantum Park RG level at 3.15 pm. Cremation will be held at Santacruz Hindu Crematorium at 4.30 pm. Quantum Park address: RG Level, Union Park, Khar West. Santacruz Hindu Crematorium: Dattatray Rd, near Santacruz Police Station, Shastri Nagar, Santacruz West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400054"
Several celebs and Ritesh's friends from the industry have now started arriving for the funeral. One saw Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kemmu among others arriving at Ritesh's house to pay their last respects.

Meanwhile, one also saw the 'Fukrey' members Pulkit Samrat, Ali Fazal at the funeral. Kriti Kharbanda also was seen with Pulkit. Mouni Roy, Bhavana Panday among others were spotted.

Ritesh is Farhan Akhtar's partner at Excel Entertainment. He started his career as a producer with the 2001 cult classic 'Dil Chahta Hai' and since then, has been creating some memorable movies.
