Anitha Bhat plays a visually impaired woman in Indira
Actress Anitha Bhat has wrapped up shooting for her next film, Indira, in which she plays a blind woman suffering from memory loss. The psychological thriller is a bilingual, using both Kannada and Telugu to take the movie forward. Directed by Rishikesh, it also has Rahman Hassan, Neethu Shetty, Shafi and Chakravarthy Chandrachud in significant roles.

Anitha says, “I found it extremely challenging to portray a visually-impaired woman who loses her memory after an unfortunate accident, as it is the first time I am essaying such a role.
I watched Naseeruddin Shah’s Sparsh and picked up many nuances from his character. I play the titular role of a woman whose circumstances force her to deal with people who have trapped her. Trying to find out why she is in this trap is the main storyline.”
Meanwhile, Anitha is also busy with the mystery thriller, Samudhram, which is being made under her home banner. The actress plays the role of a housewife who revolts against society.
