Protests erupts against Silk Sakkath Hot across the state

Sandalwood movie Silk Sakkath Hot seems to have run into rough weather. The series of protests has been reported against the Kannada movie Silk Sakkath Hot across the state, by the members of Sri Rama Sene, Karnataka Navnirmana Sena, and various other organizations because of objectionable scenes in the movie. The movie has Pakistani based actress Veena Malik and Akshay in the lead roles.
The film team, which was supposed to visit theaters for promotions, has canceled the tour owing to security threats. Speaking to TOI, actor Akshay says, “We were planning to visit Mandya and Mysore theaters, but we had to cancel the tour because of security reasons. In fact, police commissioner itself told not to visit theaters.” The protest has been reported in Mandya, Hassan and Hubli regions.
The film which is said to be based on life of famous south Indian actress Silk Smitha has always been in the news for wrong reasons. Actress Anitha Bhat has played the role of a prostitute in the movie.
