Yash Shetty takes to Tollywood like a fish to water
Actor Yash Shetty has wrapped up shooting for his Telugu debut film, Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha, joining the many Kannada actors taking up roles in neighbouring south film industries. Directed by Murali Kishore Abburu, the film has Kiran Abbavaram and Kashmira Pardeshi in lead roles.
Yash says, “I feel actors should not have any regional barriers, so when the offer came, I thought the role was challenging and grabbed it with both hands.
Working in Telugu gave me an opportunity to explore a new industry, the people were very warm and co-operative which made me take to the Telugu industry like a fish to water.”
Revealing his character, Yash says, “I play an antagonist who brings in many twists, I also got an opportunity to work with Murali Sharma, a prominent actor in Telugu. It was a pleasure working with him as he has an abundance of knowledge about acting.” Back in Sandalwood, Yash has Gowli, Once Upon a Time in Jamaaligudda, Pepe, and Dharani Mandala Madhyadolage, which portray him in varied roles.
