'Bimbisara' Box office collection Day 6: Nandamuri Kalyanram's film shows a dip in its collections; garners over Rs 41.5 crores

Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Mallidi Vasishta's 'Bimbisara' has reportedly collected over Rs 41.5 crores in 6 days in Telugu states. The fantasy action drama written and directed by Mallidi Vasishta and produced by NTR arts with a whopping Rs 40 crores has reached its break even.
'Bimbisara' based on the fictional character Bimbisara of Trigartala Empire from 5th Century BCE lands in a modern-day world through Time travel has impressed the Telugu audience.The film also stars Catherine Tresa, Samyuktha Menon and Prakash Raj playing other important roles in the film. The team received unanimously positive reviews from Critics and became successful at the box office.
However, the film's collections have drastically fallen since yesterday, ever since the advance bookings were opened for Naga Chaitanya and Aamir Khan's 'Laal Singh Chaddha' and Nithiins' Macherla Niyojakavargam'. The film could only mint Rs 1.60 on its 6th day, which is a dip in more than 50% of its collections.
The film had an overall occupancy of 15-20 %, which will only dip further with the arrival of new movies in the market this weekend. The film's dialogues were written by Vasudev Muneppagari, and the cinematography is handled by Chota K Naidu. The background score is composed by MM. Keeravani, while its songs were composed by Chirrantan Bhatt. The film was edited by Tammi Raju.
