Over the last three years, Red Dust has expanded programming in the Northern Territory's Top End. Thanks to the generous support from Insignia Financial, our reach has extended into more remote communities, collaborating and building on relationships. Our expansion hasn’t just been geographical, it has celebrated and reinforced our commitment to local leadership and employment. The IOOF Foundation will continue to support Red Dust through a new expansion program that focuses on building, supporting and sustaining a local Aboriginal workforce in remote communities and the urban hubs of Alice Springs and Darwin. Red Dust remains committed to nurturing and expanding these local employment opportunities and to developing programs that are sustainable within community. 🙌✨ Read more here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gtuc6mAv

Our recent music program in Utju was a collaborative effort shared between Elders and children. 💛   During the week, we were fortunate enough to sit in on community choir practice at Areyonga School – a beautiful insight into how the women’s songs come together.    #reddustoz #community #areyonga #utju #northernterritory

Here's a little behind the scenes of how a Red Dust mural comes to life. We start by putting our ideas on paper (or in this case on the Ipad!) and decide as a team, how we want the final piece to look! The students at Mamaruni School created beautiful murals on the walls of the art room, brightening up the space. The murals act as an acknowledgement to the land, animals and Country that make up Minjilang. 🐢 #MuralArt #Minjilang #reddustoz #CrokerIsland

Thank you Peppimenarti! 🌟 A non stop week of music with Junk Yard Beats. Our young musicians discovered their own unique rhythms, transforming everyday items like buckets, pipes, and thongs into instruments. To top it off, the kids used paint markers to bring a pop of colour to the pieces, making the instruments look as good as they sound. Also...have you noticed the stunning mural in the background of one of the photos below? The fantastic documentary, 'Like My Brother' premiered on Saturday at the Melbourne International Film Festival. The film goes on the journey of four young women hailing from the Tiwi Islands - Rina, Freda, Juliana and Jess who seek to make it as professional athletes in the AFLW Essendon Football Club. The film has successfully sold out two screenings and due to popular demand there is a third screening on the 24th August. On a recent visit to Utju, we had the fun opportunity to work with the James Range Band and create a music video for their latest song, 'Kungka'. 🎬🎶 These young men play music that shares stories about family, culture and country, sang in Pitjantjatjara and English. They are working hard to inspire the young kids and keep their culture strong. The band have been longstanding friendship with Red Dust and it's always pretty special when we get to collaborate with them. #reddustoz #Utju #musicvideo

Thank you Australian Loyalty Association 2024 Asia pacific loyalty conference for an insightful few days! It was an incredible honour for Red Dust to open the event with an Acknowledgment of Country and share some insight into our organisation and our latest venture, the Red Dust Bamboo Toothbrush! All attendees went home with a toothbrush courtesy of ALA. All profits have gone back into the heart of our programming in remote communities. On top of this, it was fantastic hearing from some of the leading loyalty experts in the industry and connecting with others in the field! A big thanks goes to Sarah E.
