Features

Pommie improves your productivity by managing your time into strict work and break periods (the Pomodoro Technique®). Focus on a task for 25 minutes then take a 5 minute break. Repeat this three more times, taking a longer 15 minute break before starting the cycle again.

Siri Shortcut

Siri shortcuts:

  • Siri shortcuts for controlling the timer, getting its status and selecting a Timer Profile.
  • Shortcuts run in the background without opening the app. A custom, animated, response view shows the current timer status.
  • Customise which timer status information is included in the text response displayed or spoken by Siri.
  • Use Pommie shortcuts in Apple’s Shortcuts app to control Pommie. Background execution is supported.

Other features:

  • Timer Profiles appear in iOS search results. Tap a result to automatically launch the app and change the timer settings.
  • Dynamic Text and VoiceOver for the visually impaired.
  • Handoff the timer to or from Pommie running on another iOS or Mac device.
  • External display support showing a custom screen-filling view of the timer.

Watch App

Pommie for iPhone includes support for Apple Watch with its own independent timer.

Pommie’s Watch app can be installed without installing the iPhone app. The configuration of work/break lengths, Timer Profiles and Siri shortcuts requires the iPhone app.

Pommie on Apple Watch

  • Quickly see the current period and time remaining.
  • Large buttons to start, pause, stop and skip the timer.
  • Reset the timer back to the first work period by long pressing the Stop button.
  • Tap the main part of the view to choose a Timer Profile. Timer Profiles are configured in the iPhone app.
  • Open, pause, stop or skip the timer directly from notifications.
  • Siri shortcut phrases and custom responses configured on iPhone work on the Watch.
  • Handoff the timer to Pommie running on an iOS or Mac device.

Apple Watch Complication

  • The app supports all Complication families and shows the work/break period number and time remaining.
  • Tap a complication to quickly launch the app from the watch face.

There is a free version of the app, Pommie Lite, available on the App Store which has fewer features. It does not allow the alarm sounds or period durations to be configured, does not support iPad multitasking, does not include Widgets or interactive notifications, does not include an Apple Watch app, does not support Handoff, does not support Timer Profiles, and does not support Siri shortcuts.

There is a Mac version of Pommie available on the Mac App Store.
