Medical ID Records stores medical information and contacts for you, your family and other dependants. This is a useful reference when visiting a healthcare professional and could be life-saving in an emergency.
Information is organised into categories:
- Personal Details.
- Medical Conditions.
- Medical Notes.

- Allergies and Reactions.
- Medications.
- Emergency Contacts.
Attach photos from the camera, photo library, by importing images from iCloud Drive, Dropbox etc., or drag & drop.
Attach PDFs or by importing from iCloud Drive, Dropbox etc. or drag & drop. Scan documents to create PDF attachments.
Markup photo and PDF attachments to annotate, highlight or redact information.
Share or print a Medical ID. Back up your Medical IDs for safekeeping or to copy them between devices.
Highly-customisable iOS/iPadOS 14 Home Screen widgets show information from your Medical ID (photos and PDFs not included).
Widgets can be stacked on top of each other to group related information together or to save space.
iOS/iPadOS can be configured to allow Today View Widgets to be accessed from the lock screen without unlocking the device.
Lock Screen widgets are available on iOS 16. There are rectangular widgets for viewing an Emergency Contact or up to three Personal Details items from your Medical ID. There are circular and rectangular widgets for opening the app (this requires unlocking the device).
An older pre-iOS 14 style widget is also available for viewing your Medical ID.
Medical ID Records includes support for Apple Watch, making it possible for emergency personnel to access your medical information and call emergency contacts from your Medical ID without needing to unlock your phone.
The app supports all Complication families, providing quick access to the app from the watch face.
For space and usability reasons, photos and PDFs are not shown in the Watch App.
Medical ID information is not included in your Health Data or shared with any other apps or services.
