Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Wednesday’s (July 3) episode that is now available to view on Channel 4 streaming. The episode in question will air on E4 on Thursday July 4 at 7pm.

Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis) and Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) were on cloud nine after Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi) gave them her blessing to be together.

Misbah had previously expressed doubts about the teens’ relationship and how quickly it was progressing after she discovered they’ve had sex, reiterating her fears that Lucas would resort to violence once again.

Dillon, however, was quick to remind her that Lucas was brainwashed by twisted conversion therapist Carter Shepherd (David Ames) at the time of the attack and therefore he deserves a chance at redemption.

Misbah remained steadfast in her decision, recommending that the boys split up, but Dillon was having none of it, confessing his love for Lucas in the folly as they officially declared themselves boyfriends, embarking on a secret relationship.

The relationship didn’t remain a secret for very long, however, with Dillon revealing all to Misbah when she told him that he was coming with her to Scotland for a new life with Zain Rizwaan (Jonas Khan).

Up Next

Refusing to leave Lucas, Dillon again stood up to Misbah and, as he revealed all the things he feels when he thinks about Lucas, Misbah came to realise that she didn’t feel that way about Zain, resolving to end her marriage and let her husband go.

With Zain officially gone, Misbah broke down, blaming Donny Clark (Louis Emerick) for the conclusion of her marriage after he kissed her earlier this year.

Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrence) and Andre (David Joshua-Anthony) were quick to try and rectify the situation, with Misbah agreeing to let them stay in her home.

Dillon, meanwhile, spent the afternoon with Lucas, who brought Misbah some flowers as he reiterated his intention to be the ‘bestest boyfriend’ to Dillon, reassuring her that his other half’s safety is of paramount importance to him too.

Misbah smiled and, finally giving the relationship her blessing, she gave Dillon and Lucas a joint hug.

The teens were overwhelmed, with Dillon subsequently branding his boyfriend ‘perfect’ as they shared a kiss outside.

Love prevails again.

The much-loved couple will find themselves facing another obstacle next week, however, when Tom Cunningham (Ellis Hollins) gets in the way of their plans to make money for a holiday.

Typical Tom!
