The City of Ecorse is a part of several ongoing and completed planning initiatives, linked below.
2022 Southfield Road Corridor Study
The city is currently participating in a regional planning effort, led by the State of Michigan and in partnership with Lincoln Park, to improve Southfield Highway. The study is looking at ways the corridor can be made safer and more enjoyable for pedestrians, motorists, cyclists, and transit users through design and traffic controls.
2021 Tax Increment Financing Plan
The Ecorse Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Plan has been completed and is available on the DDA webpage.
2020 Ecorse Creek Vision Plan
The Ecorse Creek Committee has completed the Ecorse Creek Vision Plan. Appendices can be found here.

The 2023-2027 Parks and Recreation Plan has been completed.
2019 West Jefferson Corridor Plan
