Looking out over the Solent to Portsmouth and the south coast of England is Bembridge Beach. The Isle of Wight beach was recommended in March by Dune actress Florence Pugh while on a press tour for the movie, and according to Parkdean Resorts, the location has seen an "8,900 per cent increase in interest" since the interview.

Searches for Bembridge have also increased, with the town experiencing an uplift in demand of 66 percent.

Speaking to Kiss FM, Florence Pugh said the beach is where she would take her co-star Zendaya for a day out. "Wanna know where I would actually take you that does have slight little dunes?" She said to Zendaya. "Isle of Wight - to Bembridge.

"Bembridge has this old mini golf course that Queen Victoria gave to the people of Bembridge and it's now overgrown. And so there are all of these dunes that are right behind the beach it's really cool and weird and beautiful, so yeah, I would take you there." [SIC]

It is thought that the golf course the actress is referring to is the former Royal Isle of Wight Golf Club which is located at nearby St Helens Duver, which includes sandy and grassy dunes.

The beach is made up of a mixture of textures, including stones, pebbles and shells, however, sand can be found below the high water mark. There is also a large sandbank that extends into the Solent at low tide.

The area is popular for waterspouts and sailing, while a car park sits among some small sand dunes behind the beach.

One of the most notable sights at the beach is the lifeboat station which is located at the end of a purpose-built pier spanning 200 metres in length.

The pier and station were originally built in 1922 to allow a motor lifeboat to be launched beyond the ridge of the rocks.

The Isle of Wight can be reached via ferry, however, Pugh suggested she might hop on the hovercraft if she were to take her co-star to Bembridge. "We can go on the hovercraft, it takes a few minutes to get there," she said.

The speedy crossing runs from Southsea in Portsmouth to Ryde and flies on a cushion of air 1.5 metres above the waves.

Hovertravel is a travel partner with National Express and Southern Vectis which means you can buy an all-inclusive ticket from anywhere in the UK to any destination on the Isle of Wight.

Hovertravel is part of the national rail network which means you can buy a single, day return or period return fare and it will include your hovercraft travel between Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight.
