As the next natural progression in how we move, Advanced Air Mobility has the potential to drive economic growth and improve lives through better connectivity – with less congestion and less carbon. The focus until now has been on the technology and regulation. But delivering on this promise will require significant investment in both new and upgraded built infrastructure, supported by electrification. Today, experts from Sidara are in Montreal, Canada, for day two of International Civil Aviation Organization's first Advanced Air Mobility Symposium, discussing the practical solutions that will make #AAM a reality, including a physical model of a new AAM hub. Join us at booth #17 to learn more about which infrastructure and energy solutions cities will need to consider, as well as how our world-leading mobility expertise is improving lives around the world Learn more about our work involving the future of mobility and connected cities ➡ https://lnkd.in/eHq46hFf International Civil Aviation Organization Dar Perkins&Will Introba TYLin Landrum & Brown Introba Canada Penspen Catherine Tobiasinsky Scott Gorenc Richard Barone Thomas Kearns #AAM2024 #ICAO #AdvancedAirMobility #AAM #Sidara #SidaraCollaborative #Dar #PerkinsWill #Introba #TYLin #LandrumandBrown #Mobility #HomeforHumanEndeavor #AAMTechnology #FutureofMobility #SmartCities

𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘅 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 This Embodied Carbon Policy Study aims to provide technical evidence to support the development of a planning policy approach for reducing embodied carbon emissions from developments in Greater Essex. The study complements Essex's net zero operational carbon policy, which serves as a model for going beyond regulation. The study is aimed at Local Planning Authorities in Greater Essex and planning inspectors examining local plans, as well as the development industry and other stakeholders. The evidence-base covers wider context for recommended policy requirements and provides a technical evidence base for the introduction of upfront embodied carbon limits, particularly for low-rise residential developments. Future potential work and actions include providing introductionary training on embodied carbon, creating user-friendly design and reporting guidance, producing supplementary guidance, commissioning a supplement to the study, and lobbying the government to establish a standard national embodied carbon materials database. CIBSE has launched the Embodied carbon in building services: logistics centres (TM65.3) guidance, developed with support from Amazon and Introba. This industry-first guidance offers a robust methodology for assessing the embodied carbon of MHE and MEP equipment in logistics centres. Introba's Head of Sustainability for UK & Europe Andy Stanton said: “TM65.3 is our first step along the journey to quantifying the embodied carbon across various logistics building typologies, particularly material handling equipment. There is no sign of demand for goods and services decreasing any time soon, so the need to understand the embodied carbon of the fast-growing logistics sector is paramount." By providing deeper insights into environmental impacts and identifying decarbonisation opportunities, TM65.3 empowers stakeholders to make sustainable and informed decisions. Stay ahead in the evolving logistics sector with this essential resource! 💡 #WeAreCIBSE #Sustainability #Logistics #CarbonReduction https://buff.ly/4cDYiNm
