Brent Siegrist (Republican Party) is a member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing District 19. He assumed office on January 1, 2023. His current term ends on January 1, 2025.

Siegrist (Republican Party) is running for re-election to the Iowa House of Representatives to represent District 19. He is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024. He advanced from the Republican primary on June 4, 2024.

Biography

Brent Siegrist was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Siegrist graduated from St. Albert High School. He earned a B.A. in social science from Dana College. Siegrist's career experience includes working as a high school teacher, a coach, and a manager of special projects with Valley Corp. He has served as the executive director of the Iowa Association of Area Education Agencies, the president of the Iowa Western Community College Board of Directors, and the vice president of the Iowa PBS Board.[1]

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
