Phil Thompson (Republican Party) is a member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing District 48. He assumed office on January 1, 2023. His current term ends on January 1, 2025.

Thompson (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Iowa House of Representatives to represent District 48. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

Biography

Phil Thompson was born in Jefferson, Iowa. Thompson graduated from Jefferson-Scranton High School. He served in the U.S. Army and the Iowa National Guard. Thompson's career experience includes working as a general contractor, an Iowa campaign field representative with the National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action, and an assistant to former Iowa State Representative Dawn Pettengill. He has served on the Bob Carman Patriot Scholarship Board and the Floyd W. Brown Scholarship Board, and has been affiliated with the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Greene County Republican Central Committee.[1][2]

Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits.
