The central government has formed eight Cabinet Committees, including the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, Cabinet Committee on Accommodation, Economic Affairs, Parliamentary Affairs, Political Affairs, Security, Investment and Growth, and Skill Employment and Livelihood, with key ministers and special invitees designated to each committee to address various aspects of governance and decision-making.

Govt declares TRIFED MD's suspension null and void
The Union Tribal Affairs Ministry has declared the suspension of the managing director of TRIFED as "null and void". The ministry stated that Geetanjali Gupta, an additional secretary level officer, was appointed to the post by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet. The suspension order by Ramsinh Rathwa, the chairman of TRIFED, was issued due to conflicts between him and Gupta. The chairman, being a non-officio member, lacks the authority to make such decisions. This comes after two RSS-affiliated organizations sought action against TRIFED for identifying them as political bodies.
Centre extends Amit Agrawal's tenure as CEO of UIDAI for one year
Agrawal is a 1993 batch IAS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre. A graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, Agrawal assumed charge as the new CEO of the UIDAI in June this year.

Nitin Gupta, chairman Central Board of Direct Taxes will continue in the office for nine more months as the government re-employed him on a contractual basis till June 30, 2014. A Indian Revenue Service officer of the 1986 batch of the Income Tax cadre, he was appointed CBDT chairman after superannuation of JB Mohapatra. Before that, he was serving as the Member (investigation) on the Board.
Amit Khare gets extension as advisor to Prime Minister Modi
