    'Why after Lok Sabha polls?' Union minister suspects conspiracy behind Bihar bridge collapses

    Five bridges, big and small, have collapsed across the state in just over a week. One incident each was reported from Araria, Siwan, East Champaran, Kishanganj and Madhubani districts. "Why has the state suddenly started witnessing incidents of bridge collapse? Why is it happening after the Lok Sabha polls? Why were such incidents not taking place a month before? I suspect some conspiracy behind it. Authorities concerned must look into this aspect," Jitan Ram Manjhi, a former CM who heads the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), told reporters.

    Indian Railways achieved a milestone with a successful high-speed trial on the Chenab Bridge, the world’s highest railway bridge in Jammu and Kashmir.     The under-construction bridge over Bhutahi river follows a collapse in Kishanganj due to heavy rainfall. Previous collapses in Araria and Siwan have raised infrastructure quality concerns. Although no injuries were reported, these incidents fuel political tensions, with the Congress party criticizing the BJP-led government for poor infrastructure.

    Indian Army constructs 70-feet Bailey Bridge in flood-hit Sikkim in less than 72 hours

    As per PRO Defence, Guwahati, the construction work started on June 23 and was completed within 72 hours. "Supporting the efforts of BRO and local administration in restoring connectivity and getting normalcy back to areas cut off due to recent floods in Sikkim, Army engineers of Trishakti Corps constructed a 70 feet Bailey Bridge on road Dikchu - Sanklang, braving incessant rains & challenging technical constraints," PRO Defence, Guwahati.

    BJP hits out at AAP after waterlogging reported in several parts of Delhi

    Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla criticized the Aam Aadmi Party-run Delhi government after several areas reported waterlogging following heavy rains early Friday. Poonawalla specifically pointed out waterlogging at Minto Bridge, a location the AAP had claimed to have fixed. "The BJP leader claimed that waterlogging was also reported from Minto Bridge which AAP had claimed to have fixed."
