Singapore high Commissioner visits Assam Pavilion; evinces keen interest in Assam products
The High Commissioner was very much impressed with the Assamese products on display and opined that these products have a great market in Singapore. The High Commissioner said many Assamese products can now be directly exported to Singapore. Cabinet nod to HP excise policy, state to get new category of liquor
The cabinet also approved auction-cum-tender of retail liquor vends in the state. The BJP government, in the last five years, renewed the license of vends with a 10 per cent increase in rate. But with this auction, revenue earning would see a 15 to 20 per cent rise, Industry Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan told reporters.

The newly added ministers included eldest MLA Dhani Ram Shandil, former minister and three-time MLA from Solan, Chander Kumar, former minister and six-time MLA from Jawali in Kangra district, Harshwardhan Chauhan, six-time MLA from Shillai in Sirmaur district and Jagat Singh Negi, former deputy speaker and five-time MLA from tribal Kinnaur district. Four-time MLA Rohit Thakur, three-time MLA Anirudh Singh and two-time MLA Vikramaditya Singh from Jubbal-Kotkhai, Kasumpti and Shimla (Rural) respectively were also among those inducted.
