CapitaLand India Trust (CLINT) acquires BlueRidge 3 phase 1, an IT SEZ project in Pune's Hinjewadi, for around Rs 773 crore. The acquisition strengthens CLINT's presence in Pune's IT market with leased tenants including Panasonic Avionics, Aptiv Components, Forvia, Axtria, Cerence Services, Plastic Omnium, and Wurth Information Technologies.
Mindspace REIT leases 4.5 lakh sq ft office space in December quarter
Mindspace Business Parks REIT has leased 4.5 lakh sq ft of office spaces in Q4, bringing its cumulative leasing for the year to 1.6 million sq ft. The REIT has seen strong demand with over 80% of new and pre-leasing by existing occupiers. It re-leased 4 lakh sq ft of office space at a 17.1% higher rent during the quarter. The net operating income grew 10.4% to Rs 473 crore, with a declared distribution of Rs 285 crore.

GMR Hyderabad Aviation SEZ Ltd has signed a Land Lease Agreement with Safran to lease land in Hyderabad, India for Safran to build and operate an Engine MRO facility for LEAP turbofan engines. Occupying 36,500 sqm of built-up space across 23.5 acres, the facility will have an initial capacity to service 100 engines per annum, gradually increasing to around 300 engines by 2035.

The report points out that small-to-medium-sized transactions drove leasing activity with a share of 85%, which was largely stable on a Q-o-Q basis. The share of large-sized deals (more than 100,000 sq. ft.) increased marginally to 7% from 6% in Q2 2022. Over 50 women workers in apparel SEZ near Vizag fall sick after gas leak
While some of the workers were administered first aid in the medical centre in the SEZ, some others were shifted to nearby hospitals, police sources said. Some of the workers who fell sick were said to be pregnant.
