The makers of the Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer have finally announced the release date of their much-awaited film, 'Stree 2'.
On Friday, Shraddha Kapoor took to her Instagram handle to announce that the film, which also stars Rajkummar Rao in the lead, will hit theaters on Independence Day this year, i.e., August 15, and will clash with Allu Arjun’s 'Pushpa 2' and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Khel Khel Mein’.

Sharing the video, Shraddha wrote, "Iss swatantrata diwas, aa rahi hai #Stree fir se! #Stree2 in cinemas this Independence Day, August 15, 2024."

Meanwhile, 'Stree 2,' is directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. It is a part of the producer’s horror-comedy universe, which includes films like Stree, Roohi, and Bhediya.
In an interview with The Times of India, actor Abhishek Banerjee opened up about the second installment of the movie and said, "Stree 2 is going to be bigger and double the fun. All the actors are deeply immersed in their characters. I had a lot of fun with Apar (Aparshakti Khurana) and Shraddha Kapoor. It was a reunion of sorts. I was telling my co-actors that, for me, it was more of a sense of nostalgia as we landed in the bylanes of Chanderi. It was my first film as an actor in a prominent role, and first times are always special.”
Recently, the makers of 'Pushpa: The Rule' announced the release date. An official poster announcing the date was released, taking social media by storm. The film is slated to hit screens on August 15, 2024, on Independence Day.
'Pushpa 2' stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles.
