Mohanlal jets off to Thailand for filming a song sequence in ‘Barroz’

According to the sources, the first song which is set to be filmed in Thailand will be wrapped up within a week. After completing the song sequence shoots in Thailand and Portugal, Mohanlal will then join Jeethu Joseph’s ‘Ram’. ‘Barroz’ is touted as a fantasy adventure drama and is scripted by the ‘My Dear Kuttichathan’ fame Jijo Punnoose and the cinematography by Santosh Sivan.

Legendary actor Mohanlal is pulling out all the stops to make his maiden directorial ‘Barroz: Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure’ an exceptional one and according to the recent reports, the actor is heading to Thailand and later to Portugal for filming two song sequences in the fantasy adventure movie.

According to the sources, the first song which is set to be filmed in Thailand will be wrapped up within a week.

After completing the song sequence shoots in Thailand and Portugal, Mohanlal will then join Jeethu Joseph’s ‘Ram’. ‘Barroz’ is touted as a fantasy adventure drama and is scripted by the ‘My Dear Kuttichathan’ fame Jijo Punnoose and the cinematography by Santosh Sivan.

Although the filming of ‘Ram’ kickstarted in the year 2020, the schedule was delayed due to pandemic lockdown. Jeethu Joseph reportedly said that the locations for filming some pivotal sequences in the action thriller are yet to be finalized as it involves some risky elements. Reportedly, the next shooting schedule of ‘Ram’ is finalized in the UK and Middle East.
The ‘Drishyam’ director also reportedly said that ‘Ram’ will be probably the highest production venture that he has taken up in his career. The film has the actors Trisha and Indrajith Sukumaran in pivotal roles.

It was recently that Mohanlal announced that he will be teaming up with the ‘Athiran’ director Vivek for an upcoming untitled project which will be bankrolled by the production venture of the former minister Shibu Baby John.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal has a host of highly ambitious projects in the pipeline that includes the films ‘Monster’, and ‘Alone’ which are directed by Vysakh and Shaji Kailas respectively.
On the other hand, Mohanlal’s previous outing was with Jeethu Joseph’s directorial film ‘12th Man’ which was released on a popular OTT platform. ‘12th Man’ received much adulation from the audience as the film had a tight-packed script along with stunning performances of the actors Mohanlal, Nandu, Unni Mukundan, Sshivada, Anusree, and Saiju Kurup.
