Underrated art forms that are now becoming famous

Art comes in many forms and types. From the elaborate Mandala pieces to the freestyle dance that has been performed for ages, art has always fascinated and enchanted people. But, between the fame of paintings, sculptures, and dances, there were some art forms that were hidden in plain sight and were not as appreciated as the others. And now with time, more and more people are realising their beauty and these underrated art forms are now gaining fame.

Graffiti is a newly emerging art form that was once considered nothing more than vandalism done when people were upset with the government or were protesting. A simple daily activity that Indians have been doing forever and was a part of life is Pottery. Pottery can easily be called an ancient art form dating back thousands of years, and has now received better fame. In an age where mass-produced goods are filling the shelves and markets, pottery is like a wholesome activity that gives people joy. Originating from the Mizo region, Cheraw was once just a community dance done on specific occasions with the help of bamboos and people rhythmically hopping over them. Sand art is one of the most beautiful, elaborate, and detailed art forms to exist. It is also extremely difficult and requires very thought of and precise movements and techniques. And although the efforts that went into doing sand art and sand sculptures were always known, it wasn’t as famous as it is today.
