Actor
Ruslaan Mumtaz and his family, including his parents, wife Nirali and one-and-a-half-year-old son
Rayaan have tested positive for
COVID-19. The actor posted on social media that the virus should not be taken lightly.
When BT spoke to Ruslaan, he said, "It has been quite tough. Nirali and I were in a bad state and the doctor had advised rest for us. Initially, my mother did not have fever, so Rayaan was with her.
But, later mother also developed fever. Since Nirali and I both had tested positive and Raayan also had fever, it became natural for him to shift to our room so that we could take care of him."
Ruslaan also shared that he has not yet recovered. He said, "Today, my entire family is feeling better and they don't have fever. I am the only one who is still a little unwell. Fortunately, my parents, Nirali and Rayaan are better. I am thankful to God that Rayaan and my parents had mild symptoms. I would advise people to stay indoors and not treat this mildly. "
Ask him about Rayaan and he said, "Even when Rayaan had fever, he was behaving like a normal child. He was his usual playful self and not cranky at all. I was suprised to see that."
A few days back, the actor shared a picture of his mother and actress
Anjana Mumtaz and how he celebrated her birthday with a special post. Ruslaan was last seen in the TV show Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke.
Meanwhile many actors in the TV industry have tested positive for COVID-19 including their children. Mohit and Addite Malik's son Ekbir had also tested positive a few weeks back. Recently, Rubina Dilaik, Sayantani Ghosh and her husband, Shikha Singh also tested positive.
