Did you know that our 3,250-acre Petrochemical Complex is uniquely boarded by an expansive greenbelt that serves as nature’s buffer for our neighbouring communities, and home to a range of wildlife?   In the past year alone, we have planted more than 1000 trees in the greenbelt, and as part of our ongoing commitment to natural regeneration, our gardeners aim to plant 150 trees every week throughout the remainder of 2024. 🌳 Over 20,000 trees and shrubs 🍃 Wide variety of species selected for their density ✅ Over 3km long 🤝 Collaboration with Forestry Commission  🪵 Encourage biodiversity of wildlife Established in 1951, this visual screen extends an area of ancient woodland and is continually maintained by our dedicated Grounds Maintenance Team. Contributing to the safety of our neighbours 🏡 More than 34,000 residents across our neighbouring communities will soon have improved access to four lifesaving defibrillators, thanks to a safety initiative funded by a £16,000 donation from ExxonMobil Fawley. Powered by solar energy, the defibrillators will also ensure continuous and reliable lifesaving equipment for some of the 15 million annual visitors to the New Forest National Park. Richard Rastall, Fawley Site Safety, Security, Health and Environment Manager said, “We’re really pleased to support our local community with the installation of these four defibrillators. Ready for take-off in Britain! 🛫 We are excited to share we have completed our new Southampton to London jet fuel pipeline extending 100km from ExxonMobil Fawley directly to Heathrow Airport. Many years in the making, this pipeline represents a £250m investment in supply chain logistics strengthening our ability to provide dedicated and secure supply from refinery to wingtip. ExxonMobil Fawley has been connecting Britain to the world for over half a century. With 1 in 4 flights leaving Heathrow fueled by ExxonMobil, the completion of this project could also play a pivotal role in the industry’s transition to sustainable aviation fuel in the future as the industry’s energy needs evolve. British Army and ExxonMobil exchange expertise during special visit 🤝 We were honoured to host a delegation from the 10 Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment’s (QOGLR) Petroleum Troop of the Fuel and General Transport Squadron to our Fawley Complex.    During their tour of our 3,250-acre facility, the Royal Engineers gained a comprehensive understanding of the petroleum products used by the British Army and received first-hand insights into the advanced procedures for transportation, handling, and storage of these vital resources.    The visit concluded with a ceremonial plaque exchange between Captain Oliver of the Royal Logistic Corps (RLC) and Fawley Site Manager Nick B., symbolising the mutual respect and collaboration between our organisations.    At ExxonMobil Fawley, we take pride in supporting the British Army’s dedication to excellence in fuel management and logistics and look forward to continued collaboration in the future. 📝 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/em9VUCuf

Showcasing ExxonMobil to future generations 📚 🌍   We were thrilled to present ExxonMobil Fawley at the ‘2024 Inspiring STEM’ event at the National Oceanography Centre, organised by EBP South in partnership with Southampton City Council.   Hundreds of school students from across Hampshire attended to participate in our team-building STEM activities and interact with our team of exceptional ambassadors.   💡  We hope students were able to explore the wide range of opportunities that a STEM education provides. It’s a career that not only provides excitement, rewards, and variety; it also empowers individuals to make meaningful contributions to society through careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. #weareSTEM
