Aloha! 'Auli'i Nathaniel and I won first place at the Indigenous Media Awards for “Deeper Truths” in Ka Wai Ola. We are still very saddened that the tragedy on Maui prompted the work. That said, I’m so very proud of my incredibly talented sister and ho’omaika’i to the wonderful teams at Ka Wai Ola and the Indigenous Journalists Association.

Honored to be back on the winners list for the Indigenous Journalists Association's annual contest. The winning story (linked below) is from a federal #MMIP event at Osage Casino Tulsa last year. I am thankful and grateful for the event panelists who had the courage to be blunt and speak their truth about the epidemic here in Oklahoma, especially Olivia Gray. https://lnkd.in/gV2Q7Q7W
