    Equirus launches Portfolio Management Services

    The Equirus PMS will have bottom-up approach for research and will leverage the long track-record of value creation by the institutional research team, the company said.

    Mumbai: Midmarket focused financial services firm Equirus Capital has launched Portfolio Management Services, the company said in a release today.

    The PMS division will be headed by Viraj Mehta, who will be the fund manager for the division. Mehta started his career with Equirus and has also worked with Franklin Templeton and ValueQuest.

    Equirus, which recently strengthened its wealth management division, will focus on niche segment of clients through tailor-made portfolios under the PMS division. The Equirus PMS will have bottom-up approach for research and will leverage the long track-record of value creation by the institutional research team, the company said.

    "Equirus PMS will primarily focus on niche business which have leadership position within the industry with high profit share and run by honest managers. The investment horizon is at least five years for each investment on standalone basis," said Viraj Mehta.
