    HCL Tech, Sanofi India trade ex-dividend today

    NEW DELHI: Shares of HCL Tech and Sanofi India are in focus today as the company's stocks trade ex-dividend.

    HCL Tech declared a dividend of Rs 18 per equity share for the financial year ended March 2023. The record date has been fixed as April 28 for the purpose of determining the eligibility of shareholders.

    The payment date of the said interim dividend will be May 9.

    Shares of companies trade ex-dividend on the day of the record date or a day before. When a company goes ex-dividend on a particular date, its stock does not carry the value of the next dividend payment.

    For the March quarter, HCL Technologies reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 3,983 crore. This is an increase of 11% from Rs 3,593 crore clocked in the corresponding period of last year.

    Revenue from operations rose 18% to Rs 26,606 crore for the fourth quarter under review, compared with Rs 22,597 crore in the same period last year.

    In the last 12 months, HCL Technologies has declared equity dividend amounting to Rs 48 per share, which results in a dividend yield of 4.49%.

    Meanwhile, Sanofi India declared a final dividend of Rs 194 per equity share and a second special dividend of Rs 183 per equity share for the year ended 31 December 2022.

    The company has fixed April 28 as the record date for the proposed dividend.

    The final dividend as well as the second special dividend will be paid to the members of the company after the declaration of dividend at the annual general meeting, which is scheduled on May 11.

    Sanofi India has a dividend yield of 3.23% in the last 12 months and the company has paid a dividend of Rs 193 per share during the same period.
