Share market update: Nifty Service sector index up; Yes Bank rises 5%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Service sector index was trading in the green zone in Friday's morning session.

Shares of Yes Bank (up 4.91 per cent), Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd (up 3.4 per cent), Container Corporation of India (up 2.3 per cent), Zee Entertainment (up 2.11 per cent), State Bank of India (up 2.1 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (up 1.92 per cent), Shriram Transport Finance (up 1.42 per cent), Bharti Airtel (up 1.4 per cent), LIC Housing Finance (up 1.4 per cent) and SBI Life (up 1.37 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.9 per cent), HDFC (down 0.73 per cent), Tata Consultancy (down 0.2 per cent), Tech Mahindra (down 0.19 per cent) and Axis Bank (down 0.09 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Services Sector index was trading 0.28 per cent up at 17536.7 around 11:41 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty 50 index was up 27.70 points at 12287.4, while the BSE Sensex was up 81.68 points at 41755.6.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 11 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea Cellular, Indiabulls Housing Finance, SBI, BHEL, SAIL, Bank of Baroda, Tata Motors, JSPL and GMR Infra were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
