Stock market update: IT shares mixed; Hexaware up 1%

NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading on a mixed note in Friday's morning session.

Shares of Hexaware Technologies (up 1.07 per cent) , Tata Elxsi (up 0.62 per cent) , Infosys (up 0.36 per cent) , Tech Mahindra (up 0.16 per cent) and Just Dial (up 0.14 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While NIIT Technologies (down 0.92 per cent) , Tata Consultancy (down 0.71 per cent) , Wipro (down 0.46 per cent) , HCL Technologies (down 0.43 per cent) and Mindtree (down 0.35 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty IT index was trading 0.14 per cent down at 15684.35 around 10:02 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 62.00 points at 12188.55 , while the BSE Sensex was up 202.98 points at 41366.74 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 42 were trading in the green, while 8 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Bank of Baroda, PNB, SBI, Exide Inds., JSPL, SAIL and Allahabad Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
