Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: Bombay Burmah(Rs. 42.09 crore), Vodafone Idea(Rs. 17.43 crore), IDBI Bank(Rs. 16.77 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 16.29 crore), Bajaj Finance(Rs. 14.96 crore), Infosys(Rs. 14.26 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 13.75 crore), TCS(Rs. 13.51 crore), RIL(Rs. 13.27 crore) and Adani Wilmar Ltd.(Rs. 10.75 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:14AM in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 204.0 points up at 18063.45, while BSE Sensex was up 691.57 points at 60591.94 as of 10:14AM(IST)on January 09.

In the Nifty index, Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 3.14 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 2.83 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 2.42 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.38 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(up 2.34 per cent) were among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Titan Company Ltd.(down 1.70 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.03 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 0.05 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.10 per cent) and Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 0.18 per cent) were among the top losers.
