Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 33.23 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 16.66 crore), Godha Cabcon & Insul(number of shares traded: 6.54 crore), HUDCO(number of shares traded: 4.40 crore), Indian Renewable(number of shares traded: 3.52 crore), Davangere Sugar(number of shares traded: 3.32 crore), NHPC(number of shares traded: 3.14 crore), HFCL(number of shares traded: 3.14 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 2.67 crore) and NBCC (number of shares traded: 2.43 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:09AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 97.5 points up at 24384.0, while BSE Sensex was up 359.97 points at 80346.77 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 2.14 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 1.97 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.73 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.56 per cent) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.49 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 1.46 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.74 per cent), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.72 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 0.51 per cent) and Titan Company Ltd.(down 0.41 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
