    Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.19% in an upbeat market

    The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.19 per cent up at 12154.25.

    Analysts see 15,900 to continue to pose as the immediate resistance.
    NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded positive around 10:40AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.

    Bajaj Auto(up 1.51 per cent), Balkrishna Industries(up 1.08 per cent), TVS Motor Company(up 0.98 per cent), Sona BLW Precision Forgings(up 0.59 per cent) and Ashok Leyland(up 0.44 per cent) were among the top gainers.

    TIINDIA(down 1.01 per cent), Bharat Forge(down 0.98 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.26 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

    The Nifty Auto index was up 0.19 per cent at 12154.25 at the time of writing this report.

    Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 76.15 points at 17064.55, while the BSE Sensex was up 279.46 points at 57908.41.

    Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.

    Shares of YES Bank, PNB, Suzlon Energy, Zomato Ltd. and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

    Shares of Aarti Surfactants(PP), Geekay Wires, Binani Ind, W S Industries and Soma Textiles hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Sanwaria Consumer, Future Enterprises, BKM Industries, Thomas Scott and Silly Monks Entertai hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
